Fashion
Karen combines her love and knowledge of colours and textiles when designing Bespoke Clothing for her clients
in a synergistic process of pure creativity and flair.
Her unique approach when working with her clients embraces their individuality and
personality which when fused with the use of wonderful, often exotic fabrics,
successfully leads to the creation of a unique garment for her client from the first meeting to the Final Fitting.
A graduate from the London College of Fashion, Karen served her apprenticeship designing and creating patterns for her ranges.
She supplied her expertise and skills in this to independent retailers, established high street stores and IPC Magazines, producing designs for fashion features on behalf of fashion editors. As a Technical Manager and Board Member Karen headed up teams for some of the largest fashion manufacturers in the business, whose clients included Ralph Lauren and Marks & Spencer. Karen has worked in the U.K., Casablanca, Paris and Istanbul over the course of her 27 years in the clothing industry.
Karen also offers fashion workshops, such as pattern cutting and creative styling based at her "Old Smithy Studio" in Kilmelford, Argyll.
